If you’re looking to strengthen your core, improve posture or work on your abs, this class is perfect. We’ve refreshed our Absolutely Abs class with some innovative, exciting new moves. In each class, our instructors will lead you through exercises that target both deep and surface muscles to strengthen and sculpt your entire core and tone those abs.

HOW TO BOOK A CLASS
It's very easy to book a spot on one of our Core classes through the PureGym App or on our website. Simply select your chosen gym, view the class timetable and select Core in the class calendar.
If you are new to a PureGym class, let your instructor know when you arrive, and they will help you get started.
WHAT TO WEAR
Come dressed in comfortable, breathable non-restrictive clothing -- remember, our classes will look to build up a sweat! Don't forget to bring a towel to freshen up and a water bottle to hydrate (we have water fountains in every gym to refill any reusable water bottle).

Core and abs classes may aid with weight loss if going to this class helps you to achieve a calorie deficit. We would recommend weight training and increasing your daily energy expenditure by increasing your movement throughout the day, combined with a well-balanced diet to achieve weight loss.
Our Core class has a mix of weighted and bodyweight ab training. You'll do exercises like crunches, sit-ups, planks, mountain climbers and much more, focusing on both deep and surface muscles.
Our classes include a mix of core and abdominal exercises to help build muscle and strength in this area. Having a strong core can help with sports and gym performance, and movement in everyday life, so it can be highly beneficial to attend this class regularly.

Yes, the core and ab exercises used in our classes focus on core strength and stability to shape and define.
The calories you burn depends on many factors such as your height, weight, rate of metabolism etc. Core and abs classes mainly focused on your core muscles so in comparison to other classes which require you to use your full body, you can expect to burn less calories. As a rough guide, you can expect to lose up to 200 calories in 30 minutes.
