San Choy Bow Recipe

Think Chinese food is off the menu when you’re trying to make healthier choices? Think again. San Choy Bow is a tasty traditional Chinese dish, that cooks pork mince and seasoned stir-fried vegetables in a rich, slightly sweet sauce and uses large lettuce leaves to wrap it all together.

San Choy translates to “Lettuce” and Bow translates to “Wraps” so you might also hear San Choy Bow called Chinese lettuce wraps. An authentic San Choy Bow often has a variety of textures, combining tender pork mince with crispy and crunchy vegetables such as water chestnuts, bamboo shoots, pepper, and onion.

We’ve used lean pork mince to reduce the fat content of this dish, creating a low carb, low fat, high protein recipe that’s great for anyone wanting a lighter lunch or dinner

The best bit? Our San Choy Bow recipe is quick and easy to make and cooked in one pan – making it a simple weeknight dinner with less washing up!
